The Greek Myth retold through the characters and monsters of Blizzard's Warcraft III.
As the stories go, Hercules was the son of god Zeus and the mortal woman Alcmene. Ever jealous, Zeus’s wife Hera caused no end of trouble to Hercules in his lifetime, including driving him to a temporary insanity where he murdered his own wife and children. Upon regaining reason, he was properly horrified and questioned an oracle for guidance.
The oracle replied that Hercules’s punishment would be to serve King Eurystheus, of Tiryns and Mycenae, in completing ten labors. These tasks, which would increase in number to become twelve total, would eventually mark Hercules as one of Greek mythology’s greatest heroes, granting him the status of an immortal and demigod of Olympus.
